Have you ever had the urge to pack up a few necessities and hit the open road for awhile? One group of gals has done just that and I was able to visit with some of them recently in Tennessee.
Sisters on the Fly is a group of ladies who enjoy spending time together, traveling around and living the cowgirl life. For a yearly fee, each member of this nationwide sisterhood is assigned a sister # and permitted to join in all the organized activities of the group.
My favorite part of this cowgirl caravan is the vintage travel trailer each sister tows along. The sisters add their own unique flair to the trailers and they are quite a sight to behold.
To see more images of this fun-lovin’ group, check out the book Sisters on the Fly: Caravans, Campfires and Tales from the Road by Irene Rawlings. For the low price of $10.19 on Amazon, it’s definitely a great addition to any library.
So much of our young lives are structured around friendship circles and the camaraderie they provide. Then we get a bit older and tend to forget the importance of a group of pals to just have fun with. These ladies are a wonderful reminder of what a blessing friendship can be!
Hope all you friends are having a lovely day! p.s. CitizenKG, this post is for you!
